Intruder Stop began after a discussion between Amy and David Rankin. Amy is the Principal at a small elementary school in rural North Carolina. David is a Manufacturing Engineer and a Safety Engineer. The couple worked together to develop a quick acting, cost-effective unit to secure doors.
